The business use case for this process is if a company want to automatically share 1% of opportunity revenue with someone newly added to the opportunity team.

  • Firstly I enabled opportunity team selling and set up opportunity splits
  • Created new process when record changes
  • Set object to opportunity team members
  • Start only when a record is created
  • For the criteria, say ‘always’
  • Created a report to obtain split record type ID
  • Create a new record action, as below
  • Click Activate
